The Village of Laird is in central Saskatchewan, located approximately 67 km north of the City of Saskatoon via Highway 12, and 98 km south west of the City of Prince Albert via highway 11. The urban municipality is bordered by two rural municipalities; the Rural Municipality of Laird No. 404 to the west and the Rural Municipality of Rosthern No. 403 to the east.
The Village covers 1.29 square kilometers of area and the 2016 Statistics Canada Census states that the permanent population is 267 people. The largest age demographic for the Village is between the ages of 40-44, which is comparable to the average age of most residents within Saskatchewan.
The Village provides a variety of local services and facilities for residents, which has established its permanence in the area, demonstrated through over 100 years of sustainable growth.
