Originally formed because of the massive snow fall in the winter of 1956, the community came together to form the Laird Snow Club. Eventually the club expanded to serve the towns people. Now named the Laird Service Club, the umbrella organization assists with activities and finances, Crocus Park maintenance, business development, culture and recreation boards and social events.
